Hey, I started Lifesaving in 2001, competing with my local club at RLSS National and Speed Championships. I joined the club as a fresher last October and things have been sweet. No matter what previous experience you have Lifesaving at University level is great and helps to teach and develop important life support and team based skills. Starting from about now I will be the Competition Secretary. So I will be organising the Fresher's Comp next October (with a lot of help), entering teams for next year's competitions and kinda running Thursday night training. But the club isn't just about competitions and so if you're keen to join but don't want to compete that's sweet too and there is still loads of stuff you can learn.
